| - I tried this place because it was so close to the place I was subletting for the summer and the price was reasonable. The atmosphere and receptionist were great, and all of the stylists seemed friendly. My stylist, however, left something to be desired. At the beginning of the appointment, she asked if she could cut my hair dry and wash it after instead of the reverse. It didn't matter to me, so she started cutting my hair. I have very thick, long hair, but I didn't ask for anything crazy. I wanted six inches off and some long layering. Part way through the appointment, though, my stylist began making passive-aggressive comments about how thick my hair is and how she "doesn't have all day" to keep layering it. At the end of the appointment, she asked if it was okay if she didn't wash my hair at all because I was planning on going for a run later anyway (a fact she'd learned by asking what I was planning on doing the rest of the day, which I naively mistook for small talk). At that point, I was so put off by her passive-aggressive comments that I said it was fine. But did she reduce my price? Nope. I was still charged for a full cut and wash. Instead, she smiled and said she'd "owe" me one. Did she give me an actual coupon so I could redeem that offer? Nope, so it's useless. This place seemed cute, but this stylist ruined it for me. I actually went out of my way to tell my friends about how bad my experience here was.
