| - I'm not a big buffet person, but I do love me some brunch!
Let's start with the goods:
-Portion sizes. I know that sounds weird, but in a buffet setting; trying everything is basically the best part. If you're one plate in and full, I feel pretty damn defeated by the buffet beast, and that's just not a happy way to start a Sunday. Wicked Spoon portions the food out in small, pretty plates. Enough to taste and head for more.
-Dessert buffet. Adorable mini desserts of every kind you can imagine and the flavor was not mini. Really impressive, and hats off to the pastry staff.
-Seasoning. Everything was well seasoned and not too salty or bland which is actually impressive for any buffet setting.
-Service. Phenomenal.
Not so greats:
-Dryness. Eggs beni, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fried chicken, basically any item classically associated with brunch...kind dry. Food might have been under the heat too long.
-Chinese/Asian food options. I didn't expect that much Americanized Chinese food on the buffet, and since that's not what most Chinese people eat for brunch, I really don't know the audience they're trying to reach with it.
Terrible:
-Nothing. And this is a big deal because for $28, this buffet really is A-OK.
