  • Wow, this is food heaven! This place is huge, clean, well organized, fresh/high quality, enormous selection of Asian foods and delicacies, and they have an awesome take-away department with tons of ready made hot and cold dishes and snacks. You could find all kinds of Asian foods (Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese), many you can't find anywhere else outside of Chinatown and Chinese markets in Scarborough & Markham. I have found my place for cheap delicious lunch and snacks, as they have a impeccably organized sushi section where you can pick individually wrapped sushi a la carte, and they have other great lunch items like Banh Mi (yummy Vietnamese sandwiches), which can't really find outside of Chinatown. Their bakery section has some very attractive cakes, pastries and tarts. I especially like their green tea cakes and egg tarts. T&T often has daily in-store specials accompanying by free cooked samples you can try (the ladies cooking the food are always very happy and eagar to talk about the food, though their English is not very good). When I was there I took advantage of their 7 bags of frozen shrimp dumplings for just $10 (regularly $3 a package). Potstickers is everyone's favorite at any party, and here there is all different kinds and flavors of potstickers for cheap. Even if you can't cook Asian you could rely on this place to impress your party/dinner guests. Much of their frozen foods are made locally which is nice. You can also get fresh cheap seafood, like blue crab, lobster and shrimp. Not many people know that T&T is owned by Loblaws -- too bad some of the products here are not offered at their Loblaws store (or at least in their Asian section). I like how the cashiers wear gloves, which reminds me of stores in Japan and Korea. This place gets really busy, so it's best to go on a weekday earlier in the day, as finding parking could be a pain. Like another reviewer said, T&T tend to be a bit obsessive on keeping it's shelves stocked at all times, which at busier times of the day tend to add to the congestion in the store.
