  • Been reading about this place on the Internet and was really looking forward to it. Went for breakfast on a Monday morning, and this is clearly the place to go to in the area plus it only got busier as the day went on. Opens at 6, but went at 8:30 and still plenty of seats. No guarantees on later around lunch time though haha. Definitely more of a diner feel as opposed to a restaurant, especially with the open kitchen and smaller seating area. Down to it: I ended up getting the Meat Lover's Omelette with Grits and Rye toast on the side. Toast you can't really go wrong with but they definitely butter it up less than some of your other counterpart breakfast places. The grits were misleading at first (confused them with the apple sauce for some reason) but definitely nice with some salt and pepper (butter too if you must). The omelette was great though. Good amount of meat inside and the eggs were cooked enough yet not dry or oily at all. Additionally ordered the Bob's potato pancakes which are essentially flattened hash browns. Not bad at all but had an unusual sweetness to them which was confusing with their oily nature. Service was better than average, our waitress was nice and conversed with us at length; she kept us in the loop with what was happening with our food which is always a plus. My main concern is the pancakes. They do theirs thicker than some places and as such there's the risk that the batter won't be fully cooked. They informed us that they were cooking it a bit longer because it wasn't fully cooked but even after it was brought out there were some unevenly cooked parts. Still delicious though. All in all hope I can come back and try other things! They have burgers and other more lunch ish items that looked appetizing!
