  • I called yesterday morning at 8 am and talked w Daniel to see if they took appointments or it was first come, first served to have my wife's car checked out (check engine light and other warnings were on). Daniel said either will work, but it's better to have a time so he told me to bring it in at 9:30 that day. I got there at 9:15 and talked w Daniel. He got me set up quickly and told me it should be about 45 min-1 hr to find out what's up. In 45 min Jeff came out to tell me what was up and some options to get it fixed. Jeff gave me some good options and cost estimates - he had a least amount of money to fix and an option that saved me from having the same problem later. He also gave me some good history on Toyota engines so I knew what may happen if we're going to keep the car for another 50-100K miles. At no point did he try and up-sell me any service that I didn't think was needed (which was awesome - Thanks Jeff). It was also a bonus because he had all the parts he needed on site - Great. Once service and cost estimate was figured out, he said it should be ready by around noon. A little before noon, he brought me the keys and told me a little more about some issues w the car to help prevent us from having more problems later (Thanks again Jeff). I agree w all the recs here - Precision Performance is a good repair shop w fair prices and straight shooters behind the desk and in the garage. Thanks Daniel and Jeff Update: 3 days after our problem was 'fixed' the same check engine and other caution lights came on again. We'll check w PP and put an update on what's going on..... 3/20/2017: After taking the car back to PP, I talked w Jeff and he told me once the initial problem was fixed, it might lead to the O2 sensor needing to be replaced, but there was no need to replace it on the first fix until we knew it was working or not. They couldn't fix it that day, but Jeff confirmed the O2 sensor needed to be replaced. I took it back today and they replaced the O2 sensor so no more check engine or any other lights are on now. The car's running fine. It took 3 trips and it wasn't simple, but hopefully I won't be back w any more updates for a while. Thanks Jeff.
