| - Not happy. Change incorrect. Told to return at 8am when the boss comes in to look over the video tape.
Will see what happens. Very upsetting.
Got a bad feeling abt this. The woman who took my ten keyed in only $5 on receipt so she did the 'switch' in an instant. I gave a ten for less than $5 items wanting to break it down for smaller change. I no longer have the ten that was in my wallet so where did it go?
I don't know the new manager.owner so...I hope he's honest b/c she isn't & neither was the other counter person. She ordered me to leave the store, never come back. Now how can a counter person have the authority to talk like that to a longtime customer.?
I've always had a bad feeling abt this woman - duplicitous, double dealing, phony are words that come to mind with her. I've avoided her in the past. Why didn't I tonight?
Wht if the cameras don't work or don't pick up the purple ten? Why would she try something like that if she knew the cameras would pick it up. ?
Unless she knows where to position it so the cameras don't pick it up.
Why do I have to wait to end of shift 8am for her to count the till? She knows all night if she's over or under. Is this not important enough to call the manager to resolve it sooner rather than later? (just past eleven pm isn't that late. ) It's all a bit too fishy.
This Rabba is reknown for shortchanging, skimming people. It used to be quite bad a few years ago then eased off a bit.
One or two other customers would talk about a community action of some kind to alert the public to the double dealing but I think nothing came of it. It was usually a dollar or two shortchanged - by a young girl who's been gone for awhile.

I waited until 8am outside the store in the cold until the not too pleased managers arrived. He promised to look at the camera & let me know either way but if I didn't leave he'd have to call the police. I gave him my number & went to the 2nd Cup across the street to warm up.
I warmed up a bit then went home. I was/am traumatized, shaking hands, very tired as up all night unable to sleep going over it in my head.
Well, the verdict is I'm innocent & the clerk is guilty of taking my ten, keying in five, insulting me, threatening me.
I returned to receive my five w wh i purchased oranges for $4. They took my money & were very concerned th next time that happens to contact them the following day - not to talk to people about being shortchanged, not to persist, insist to the 'disconnected' employees that I was still owed $5, that it was not the clerk's fault, it was an honest mistake & that she didn't mean anything by being rude, insulting, threatening me to leave & never return.
I fully expected to be banned from the store but no, 'they want my business'.
What if I, like most people, had not insisted, not returned to demand my money? What would that accomplish?
Rabba would continue doing this to others b/c they know they can get away w it.
No offer of compensation, nada, zippo for depriving me of a night's sleep & accusing me of being 'just another crazy' in the streets of Toronto.
