This is my local grocery store so as long as they don't have rat infestations or fires (like our other local grocer) I'll be returning here until...until...well probably until I move.
Don't let the massive parking lot fool you, getting a spot close to the door can be a challenge and they don't let carts into the parking lot. Also be warned, Lawrence plaza has a reputation of being a meeting spot for bad drivers so watch out both as a driver and a pedestrian!!!
Selection at this location is pretty good. They meet the needs of their cultural community by having a very large kosher section. A small/moderately sized Filipino and Russian food section. The rest of the store is filled with your staples. They don't always have the trendiest products (so if you have to try that new flavour of ice cream...probably not your best bet) but they have a good selection of offerings.
They also have a decent sized ready-to-serve section with all your comfort food staples.
Be warned, if you are looking at the pre-packed ready to serve options (like their pasta) check for mould. I can't tell if it's a refrigeration issue or just using products that are 'past their prime' but I've found mouldy cheese on products that according to the label had just been packaged that day. Yuck!
Also, if you (like me) are one who likes discounted pre-cut fruit, I would keep an eye on it when checking out, as cashiers regularly forget to rip and scan the discount.
Finally after you find everything you need and pay, remember they don't let carts in the parking lot. So you either have to leave your cart unattended or with the worker outside who will watch it.
