Have not eaten at a Perkins in years. My husband was hungry for pancakes and we were in the area of this restaurant for dinner.
He had the two pancakes, two sausage patties and two eggs and two toast menu item. He said the pancakes and eggs were fine, the sausage and toast so-so. I had a bite of his sausage Patti and it tasted really, really processed.
I had two potato pancakes that were surprisingly good. They had chives in them and were crispy and tasty. Not so much for the bacon that came with it. The bacon was limp-not as cooked/crispy as I prefer.l however it had a smokey flavor that enhances the taste. The cup of applesauce that came with it was nothing special. Tastes like the apple sauce that comes out of a jar. It would have been a tad better if it had been served warm.
We did not try any of the delectable bakery items they showcase by the checkout register.
