This experience was in March, 2016. I wrote the review and realized it never posted. Also, I have never set foot in this location since.
Kim the manager has apparently made up her own policy to not exchange/return bad dog food. I purchased a bag of dog food and when I opened it the next morning it was filled with bugs. I took the bag back that day and the manager Kim was a nightmare. I told her I bought the bag yesterday and when I opened it this morning it was filled with maggots. She immediately snapped off that they are NOT maggots they are meal worms and it's normal, that I should have checked all the seams and corners for cobwebs,etc. (which there were none, date on bag was good). She also said that Petsmart NO LONGER takes back food but she will make an exception for me this one time. I asked her again to be clear and she said as of February it's their new policy. After a few minutes of her unkindness I called her out as to why she was treating me like the bad guy for returning something that was spoiled? She eventually apologized and said she's having a bad day. Thank you Kim for taking your bad day out on a customer. I called two other stores and this is NOT a Petsmart policy, it's Kim's policy to not take back dog food. If she's this unfriendly to the customers, I can only imagine how she treats her employees. Go up to North 5th location not this location.
