| - Did the crab legs get plumper, the shrimps seem fresher, the prime rib juicier, the staff friendlier? Yes, yes, yes and yes!
After almost a year of avoiding the Spice Market, we finally went back for an early dinner last night. They have fewer servers and non-alcoholic beverages are now self serve. The concept seems to work. You don't have to keep trying to flag someone to get a drink anymore. I do feel bad for our server Rose who had to serve alcoholic drinks then do clean-up as well. She was a trooper though even when it got pretty busy.
Aside from the crab shrimps and prime rib, the chicken curry was still as good as I remembered.
From the other dishes I tried, the lamb kabob wasn't as successful, it was dry. The paella was blah, the steamed mussels were dry, steamed pork bun barely had any meat in it, the egg roll was so-so . For dessert, the macaroons were always good, so was the red velvet cupcakes. The creme brûlée was ok, the creme caramel had a different flavor I didn't like and of course the cotton candy is always a hit.
Inspire of all the fails, I still think it's worth giving Spice Market another try with a coupon.
