| - Buying my Jeep was the easy part. They were nice. Trying to complete Service in order to fulfill Tire Warranty: a NIGHTMARE! I made an appt for the 1st oil change, and sat there for OVER 5 HOURS!!!! The next service, I tried a "walk-in", but was told there were 13 cars ahead of me (at 9am). They could not say my oil change would be done.
I tried a 2nd time to drop off Jeep at 7am, with the hopes of picking up about 4pm. I received 2 blank looks!!!! The woman shook her head, and walked away. Then, I was asked if it was for Monday. No! TODAY! It is a 10 minute service! I was reminded how busy they are on Saturdays (I was told this last Saturday, also). Then, knowing this, why not have more mechanics on Saturdays?! Not a hard solution to come to. When I asked about the service for tire warranty, I got a huge sigh, and a "Come with me." The guy started highlighting a paper then added figures. When he was done, he held the clipboard up to me so I could see it would cost me just shy of $200. And I had not even reached the mileage for this part!
I work M-F like many others in this city. I have Saturday off. I NEED my vehicle to get to work. Saturdays are only available day for Jeep services, LIKE MANY others!!! KNOWING they are busy on Saturdays, have MORE mechanics there!!!!!!!
And, to be treated like an unwanted outcast committing some weird transgression as NOT wanting to wait 4 or more hours for an oil change? I will gladly give up my tire warranty if it means going to a place that appreciates your business, and can get the work done in a reasonable time. I do not mind making an appointment if I know I won't be waiting several hours anyways. That is why appointments are made!!! No waiting!
To end my rant, I will say this is the 1st time in my life (I am 50yrs old) I have REGRETTED buying a vehicle from a dealership! I was assured their Service Dept. was one of the best(NOT!). I was assured it was no problem with weekend servicing (apparently there IS a problem). I am a Jeep lover who has stayed with Jeep for many years, but this dealer has made me re-evaluate that! This is the 1st, and only, time I buy from this dealer! Their Service Department is NEEDING to look up the definition of "Service"! I have starting spreading the word to stay AWAY from this dealer....
