I rarely give 5/5 stars to restaurants unless they blow me away. And trust me, I'm very critical about the places I go to.
My partner and I went to sushi wa based on yelp reviews. We were expecting really good food and nothing else. I mean, it's not a Michelin star restaurant so my expectations were not high.
We arrived and the place was semi busy. We got seated right away. There were a few tables and it felt cozy.
We ordered a few appetizers, maki rolls, and sushi. We loved all of the food. The rolls and sushi are a lot smaller. We noticed that the chef puts garnishs on the sushi which was a lovely touch. It's the little details that make your experience better.
Near the end of the night, the chef, Joseph, came by to our table to greet us and ask us how our food was. He asked us for our names and grabbed our desserts. It was very sweet of him. He didn't do this for us, but when a table leaves he comes outside with you to say goodbye. Joseph and the staff were very attentive and blew us away with their service. This is why they get 5/5 stars and they'll see me again!
