My boyfriend and I go to Glendale for Dodgers spring training every year. The last few years we've stayed at the Holiday Inn Express at the 10 & 51st. This year they significantly increased their prices so we looked for a new place. Comfort Inn was right across the freeway and almost half the price. From the outside it looks pretty average. There were some homeless people around the freeway exit but none near the hotel. The place seemed generally safe and secure. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was available immediately and upon arrival, we found it to be clean and comfortable. The decor is relatively modern - down comforter, flat screen TV, etc. Wi-Fi was weak. We could barely connect and most websites (esp Netflix) wouldn't load. The TV did have a good amount of channels though so we were able to find something to watch most times. Their continental breakfast was fine. I arrived with about 30 minutes left. Most things were gone and hadn't been refilled but I had some eggs, sausage and orange juice. All were good. They also had cereal, waffles, yogurt, and fruit. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to replace our key a few times because it kept coming into contact with my boyfriend's phone and would stop working. The woman at the front desk was very accommodating each time. Check out was also quick and easy. All in all, we would stay here again.
