I can't say I was too impressed with Griddlecakes. I was expecting a bit more what with the crowd of people waiting outside.
I had a group of 5 and it took about 35 minutes for us to get seated. We had a few moments to look over the menu before we ordered our food. I ordered the chicken and waffles.
The chicken was quite dry and more batter-y than chicken. It even had that frozen look to it, it didn't make it look all that appetizing. I ate it nonetheless because I was huuuungry, but the chicken itself tasted okay- wasn't anything to be amazed by. the waffle was nice, warm and fluffy. it was a good portion of food. I wasn't too thrilled about my meal but it did its job.
It was pretty busy when we went so I understand that the servers were in a hurry.. I totally understand so I will just say service was good..
I'm not sure if I would come back though, not a fan of breakfast food in the 1st place and was hoping this place would help change my mind.. but it's okay.. I'd recommend to first timers in the area looking for a solid breakfast place.
