We never got the chance to meet the Doctor or anyone besides the lady at the counter. When I called and made my appointment it was set for 9:40 am. We received the phone call reminder before the appointment and, my mistake, I didn't pay well enough attention to the time she said because I knew I had it written down on my calendar and my two year old was needing attention. The morning of the appointment I wrangle my 2 yr old and my 9 yr old out the door and into the car for the 30 minute ride to the office. Why so far? I heard he was the best. We get there and stand at the counter with no acknowledgement until I realize we need to sign in on the clipboard. Done. The lady says something and I say "what?" She looks at me like I ruined her day and I realize she wasn't speaking to me. I say "It is our first time here, do we need to wait for you here or sit down?" I am directed to sit down and she will call us back up. She finishes with a lady who was ahead of us and I think it will be us next. Nope. Two more people come in the door and get greeted and checked in right away. Finally we are called up and after asking who we are she says "you were supposed to be here at 8:50" to which I say "no, my appointment was for 9:40". She asks which reminder we got, the text or the phone call. I say the call. She looks in the computer and says "it was the text". After getting the kids there and keeping them busy for the 15 minutes it took to even be considered and now feeling like I am being called a liar, I am done. There was no sign that she was trying to rectify the situation, only tell me I am wrong over and over. Somewhere along the way there was an error. I wrote the time on my calendar when I made the appointment. Could it have been me, yes. I don't believe it was. A clerical error is not my fault and considering we didn't show for the supposed slot at 8:50 they should have been ahead and still able to see my kids. We left though because of the attitude we received at the front counter. Luckily we went to a health fair this past weekend and meet our new pediatrician there and couldn't be happier. We were very excited to come here. I researched for hours to find somewhere I wanted to take my children and to find a doctor that was respected. It was heartbreaking to have all that go to waste.
