  • Carly's is a wonderful little gem on Roosevelt Row. I love that it's walking distance from my place (or the light rail if you don't live in the neighborhood). All of their sandwiches are delicious - I usually go for the Pear, Turkey Melt or Smoked Salmon. My side of choice is typically orzo, but the salad and chips are also just dandy. What really makes me happy here is their seasonal drink options. They're very well thought out and always hit the spot. If anything, I wish they would make these monthly just so I could try more delicious concoctions. Note that First Friday can clearly be a shitstorm here - not in the sense of service, their servers are very attentive regardless of how busy they are. But be prepared to wait a bit for a table if it's First Friday.
