Used a Groupon my Mom had purchased but she was not digging the color chart they presented (very limited choices) so she ended up not using it and gave it to me. Saw Danielle for highlight touch-up and cut. Just my new growth about 2 inches. woah the color came out odd, not very well blended, and nowhere near the scalp so it already looked like there was regrowth. it was orange-ish looking like the bleach hadn't been left on long enough. I mentioned doing toner to town down the brassy on the newly colored roots. she said they normally don't but she had to get a manager to 'unlock' the toner. Why would they need to lock it up?? She put the toner not just on the newly colored part but about 5 inches down. basically all over. It burned my eyes and nose, she gave me a towel to cover my face. I have never had this reaction to toner. Very ODD! my eyes were watering, my scalp was starting to tingle and not in a good way. yikes! What are they using?!? Not sure what color the toner was but now all my color which i didnt want changed ended up looking more brassy and darker then when i started. not good. She said it would fade after a few washes. OK.. She did the cut. It was fine. She was careful not to take off too much as I had asked. After washing the next day, I was still not happy with the color, called and the manager (?) said she did notice when i left that it was darker then when i arrived and went right over and spoke to Danielle. Not sure why they didn't speak to me, anyway, I got booked for a re-do the following day for 4pm. When I got there and waited a bit, the girl they had booked me with Donna, was helping another client last minute and could start mine BUT would have to stop and go back to her. I opted to wait until she was ready so I would have her full attention and not be interrupted during my service. another 30 minutes. Donna was available but still working on her other client so she would have to stop and go back and finish her. Great. I explained what I wanted. some low-lights to break up the brassy orange color and fix the orange. she stated that low lights wouldn't be a good idea bc they would fade. well its always worked in the past when i am getting too light(?) She finally agreed. I dont think she understood what I wanted because I got even more lighter color and minimal low lights. It's like she had her own plan and didn't really care what I wanted. Overall NOT impressed and would not go back or recommend.
