  • I have been to Commonwealth many times with my group of friends and usually we enjoy it. The line may seem long to get in, but they're usually really good about getting people in fast and with your entire group. The drinks are normal priced for what you would see in downtown Fremont, around 10-12$ a drink, obviously depending on what you get. Most nights you have to pay a completely separate cover charge to get upstairs, which in my opinion is a lot more enjoyable because they have a live DJ that plays a lot of hip hop music and there is another bar up there too. With all of these points I would love to give Commonwealth at least 4 stars, however, I would love to see a staff change in some way in relation to who is in charge of security at the front door. The gentleman was rude, degrading and just overall acted like everyone coming into the bar was an inconvenience to him. Sad to say that customer service is clearly lacking and would love to come back here and not be treated badly by some of the staff there.
