There are two Thrift Kings in the Greater Pittsburgh Area, and this is not the better one. After going to the shop in Jeanette, I was disappointed in the prices of this one. They have a great selection of clothing, housewares and furniture. Each day brings a different money-saving incentive based on the color of the price tag. I mainly went here looking for furniture, and I found it just not at the price point I was hoping for. A French Provincial desk was priced at $49.75 (or if we want to keep it real: $50.00), however it had a huge chunk of wood damaged on the side. Really $50? Side tables and nightstands at the Jeanette store were uniformly priced at $10.75 (really, I don't know what it is with the $.75) while they were priced at $14.75 here. Overall, much of the furniture was overpriced especially for the condition. Chances are I'll be back as I'm always in the market for mid-century furniture but if it's not priced right, I'll pass on it.
