| - Overall our dinner experience here was excellent! We had a reservation and were seated right away (would have hoped for a better table, considering we did have a res, but it's all good). Atmosphere is nice - some cool SW decor, bright, and warm.
The food was delicious. I had the roasted duck breast - it was cooked to perfection, super juicy, with a yummy mustard, cherry sauce. Mmmm, I am craving it now as I write this! My ceasar salad was the only thing that left something to be desired. I like a good, hearty dressing - since there isn't much else to a caesar salad - and this dressing just did not make the cut. Pretty watered down and lacked that umph. My husband had the mussels for an appetizer and the entire table was instantly filled with such a perfect aroma the moment they were set down in front of him. We each had a bite and loved every part of it! The sauce was so rich and delish! He had the chicken for dinner - another perfect sauce. One friend got the Trout - wow, this will be what I get next time!! It was cooked perfectly, super moist with the flavorful skin still on. Our other friend got the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and he was quite happy with it. The creme brulee was a delightful way to end the meal - not too sweet, super creamy, perfect!
The service was 4 stars. Our server wasn't super friendly, but was attentive enough. I would say it was fine. I think this is where Roaring Fork could have a better rating on Yelp - because the food is spot on, the service experience could be improved upon to create that perfect overall dining experience!
