| - The Toronto Zoo is a fantastic time for all ages!
++ HIGHLY recommended: Get a CityPass (approx 55 dollars) that allows you to go to the Zoo, the ROM, the Science Center, Casa Loma, and the CN Tower over the course of nine days. Even as a native Torontonian, I bought one to take a friend from out of town, and had a fantastic time.
The Zoo is really great. It's divided into sections, like Africa, Eurasia, etc. The path through the zoo is fairy easy to follow. You can pay a bit extra to get a spot on the cart that they drive around, where you can get out in different sections and get on in another, but we didn't do it. This year, they had the baby polar bear, which we saw- SO cute! They also had new white tigers. We got excellent photos. I found all their viewing places to be excellent- you could almost always have full view of the animals without getting too close or disturbing them.
Definitely plan for a full day (or a 10-to-5 at least) for the zoo- lots of walking!
Also- it's worth the additional $2.50 to go to Stingray Bay, where you can touch stingrays and sharks that have had their stingers removed. It is amazing (and the stingrays are surprisingly friendly) for adults & children!
