I have a love/hate relationship with Donut Bar. Unquestionably, the donuts are good. Are they worth $5 a piece? Definitely not.
Donut Bar has an excellent variety and without a doubt grade A marketing. I'll literally be scrolling through Instagram, see a photo of their donuts, and instantly begin prioritizing my need to drive all the way downtown to pick up a French Toast donut.
In comparison to other donut shops throughout the valley, Donut Bar offers a variety of vegan donuts, made to order options, and some very "creative" choices- such as the "Big Poppa tart", a donut literally stuffed with a pop tart. As for the quality- arguable. Yes, they open super early and obviously if you get there later in the day they won't be as "fresh"- but hey, if I'm getting a "stale" donut it seems obscure to pay $4 or $5 for it. Definitely think they need a price adjustment.
Flavor is a 10/10. In all the times I've been to donut bar I can honestly say I've never not loved the taste of any of their donuts. My most favorite would have to be the strawberry shortcake and the Oreo birthday cake- both absolutely delicious!
The employees are also very kind and are very quick to give recommendations. I've been here super early at opening to when they were just about sold out and have always experienced exceptional service.
Overall, Donut Bar is great- I'd just recommend an early arrival and preparation to pay upwards of $30 for a half dozen donuts.
