| - Only an option if you're looking to waste a lot of time. Issue #1: this place is at a hotel, not the airport. Let that sink in for a moment. Issue #2: the shuttle to/from the airport runs twice an hour. Twice.
Here's how this played out for me on arrival: I just missed one of the shuttles from the airport, so the time it took from me pulling my bags off the carousel to driving away with the rental? 50 minutes. I sat at the airport curb for 25 minutes waiting for a shuttle, AFTER I got my luggage (hardly a speedy operation at CLT). The only reason I got the car as quickly(?) as I did is that I was the first one off the shuttle. Since they only have one person at the desk ... well ... things don't happen too speedily.
On the back end of my trip, I desperately tried to make the shuttle departure time, but narrowly missed it (Charlotte rush-hour traffic is nuts). Here's how that went: I park the car in the parking lot and walk inside the hotel. Eventually, a clerk shows up. She walks out to the parking lot and does whatever it she does (I had full insurance coverage, and I gave her the mileage, so maybe she was just checking all four wheels were still attached?). She comes back in. The computer is slow. There are now ten people behind me. The computer is still slow. The shuttle driver has been sitting in the hotel lobby playing with her cell phone for 20 minutes. The computer wakes up, and I get my receipt. Me, the driver, and two customers depart for the airport -- the other eight customers are left waiting for who knows what.
You may save ten bucks by going with these guys. Just ask yourself whether it's worth it. I, frankly, would happily pay ten bucks to get those two hours back.
