  • On Friday, May 11, 2018 and I was sitting at LabCorp for a blood test so that my doctor can give me results on my diabetes. I was fasting per doctors orders so if you're familiar with diabetes, you know how people feel when they have nothing to eat. When finished, I went to my car and for some reason I started cleaning it out. I came across my car registration and noticed it will be expired in two days. Unfortunately, the past three months I've been in and out of doctors offices and had to pay multiple co-pays so I was very tight on cash. Panicked i drove to the DMV located on Beck in Chandler hoping to get a 30 day Car Registration Permit. At the DMV I encountered three different employees. The first one was apparently the office manager. I didn't get her name but at first she seemed very nice. She had explained to me that I couldn't get a car registration because my insurance company reported a lapse in coverage. I told her that that was an error and asked how can I provide information showing that I never had a lapse. She told me that I needed to contact my insurance company and have them fax over a letter stating that or else I would have to pay a $50 fee to reinstate my registration. She told me to take a seat and let her know when the fax would be in so that she can help other people. I spoke with my insurance company and I had mentioned to the office manager of the DMV at the fax should be coming in now. I would like to know why she had the nerve to not mention to me that she was going to take a one hour lunch after helping the customer that was with her and left me waiting for half an hour. Now I have to wait longer to eat when she was already helping me. Now employee number two. I believe her name was Patty. She was an older lady with long, gray, straight hair. She made it so difficult for me to get my car registration. At first she was very nice but when she received my fax she told me that this is not what they want even after a supervisor that was on the floor mentioned that it was OK. I don't know if Patty was just having a bad day but I felt like it was her mission to make me feel miserable at the moment and make me pay the $50 fee. That's when I asked for a supervisor. Employee number three. I really wish I would've gotten her name because this woman was the most patient and understanding employee there. She went above and beyond to make sure that I got the letter that they needed and by me putting the insurance company on speakerphone she explained to the insurance company what they needed to do. I had asked Patty to do the same and she said no I cannot talk on your phone. At this point I felt weak, tired, angry, hungry and dizzy. Because of the first two horrible employees, I was there from 12 PM to 2:30 PM. When I asked Patty why the office manager would go to lunch while she's helping me, she replied, "well you know we take lunch too right?? " I told her that her rude comments were not necessary and I understand that you take lunch because I myself am a government employee and understand that lunch is needed but not while you're in the middle of helping somebody and not telling them that you were going to leave for an hour. I would like to thank the supervisor that helped me. May God bless her and I hope you live a long and happy life. By the way, the lapse was an error and I did not have to pay the $50 fee patty and the office manager were forcing on me .
