Been to Vegas many times, and never had a chance to try Firefly until recently. Sadly, the food was not worth the wait.
Sangria - No. Not strong enough, and way too little fruit flavor for a drink that claims to have been marinated for 3 days. Did feel like the pitcher was never-ending, just never-ending sugar juice.
Stuffed dates - No. Recommended by server. Tasted like BBQ sauce.
Stuffed peppers - No. I prefer the Peruvian version. This was a bit overly cheesy (and I love cheese).
Pulpo asado - Eh. I've had better.
Camarones a la diabla - No. Tasted Chinese, and not spicy at all.
Albondigas - Eh. 6 meatballs for $7. Could have had 3 In-N-Out cheeseburgers.
Lamb chops - Now we're talking. The 2 chops for $12 were very tender, and my favorite of the night (and I don't even eat lamb!).
Ambiance is not conducive to holding a conversation, anything romantic, or close to relaxing. It's probably easier to hold a conversation at Chinese dim sum restaurants than it is here, as noise is coming at you at all angles. I could barely hear my BF across the table. The only good thing was the service; my glass was always full!
Needless to say, I'll save my stomach space for Vegas meals elsewhere.
