| - So 2 days ago I got a flat on my way to work. I called my insurance company for roadside assistance but they said they don't offer it. My best friend insisted she help me. I told her no several times because I'm 33 and I should know how to change a tire by now. My husband had to work late and I realized I was stranded because YouTube could not help me get the jack out from underneath my passenger seat, let alone help me get the spare tire out from under my truck (which is easy to do when you read the manual, but extremely tricky if you don't). So I caved and I said yes to my best friend coming to help me. 30 minutes later, her husband Brad and his dad came to my rescue!
Brad's dad, being the logical guy that he is, asked me for the Owners Manual. After only 3 minutes, he and Brad were able to get the jack out. 15 minutes later they removed my flat tire and replaced it with the spare. At last I was back on the road again! I am forever grateful for their help. The guys told me to ask for a Plug-Patch to fix my tire so I didn't have to spend the $200 the tire shops were asking for to replace my tire.
So today I go to Discount Tire and they looked at my tire and said that the hole was too big to fix. They offered to replace my tire for $225 or $350 if I wanted the tire warranty. I told Brad what was going on and he advised me to shop around. So I reached out to Michael McFall to ask him about the tire shop that always advertises in the Phoenix Pride Guide. He told me to contact Community Tire Pros.
By this point I was exhausted just as you may be now reading this post! So I called them and explained the situation and they told me to come in so they can take a look at what they can do. When I got to Community Tire Pros I was greeted by their tire technician. He took a look at my tire and said that the hole was too big to repair. He evaluated my tire further and told me that he will test the hole and see if the drill bit slides in. He said that if it slides in and out without any resistance that I would need a new tire. He grabbed his tools and tested my tire. He said that the hole looks much bigger on the outside than it actually is. He fixed my tire and guided me inside to pay.
Now this is where it really gets good. Kris, another employee of Community Tire asked for all of my information to put in their system so she could process my invoice. Once she was done she explained to me that they were going to give me roadside assistance at no cost, with 3 free uses every year and my total charges today would be $0!!! Not only did they fix my tire, they installed it, put my spare back under my truck, gave me free roadside assistance with up to 3 uses for the year AND cleaned my windshield because it was a mess!
Are you kidding me right now!? I was in and out in 20 minutes! They truly are a blessing! I saved more money than I thought I would today! I am truly grateful for their business model and extremely wonderful customer service.
