  • Stylist: Belen Services: Cut & Partial Highlight (Blonde hair) I'm new to Phoenix and was looking for a new salon to call home. Sadly, this will not be the place. The staff is unfriendly, and the place looks a little rundown (the ceiling over the wash bowls is falling down). Worst of all, the stylist I had does the hair she wants you to have, not the other way around. The highlights she ended up giving me were striped and started a half inch down on my head, making it look like I had outgrowth already. They also weren't the color we discussed. When I went back to have this fixed, she immediately got confrontational with me and told me that is the best she could do with the technique she chose, and if she were to fix it, she'd have to charge me. To me, that seems outrageous. She argued with me for a few minutes before she went to consult with coworkers about how to fix my hair. When she came back, I asked her to show me pictures of what she was talking about doing to my hair so I understand better. She refused to show me any pictures, and said "I can't do every picture you find on Pinterest." Shen then angrily started slapping bleach on my hair. The end result was horrifying! I wanted to cry. The front is white, with very little visible highlighting, the back is still entirely my natural color and one side of my head is lighter than the other. Frankly, it's a total disaster and an awful experience all around. I'm writing this review not to put anyone on blast, but to share what happened to me so others can avoid having the same experience. This city must be full of great, professional places. This is not one of them.
