My in-laws are owners and they've let us use their timeshare several times and we love it (for the most part)...
The Good:
The rooms are AWESOME - think small condo. Every time I stay there my thought is always "I could live in here"...It has everything you could possibly need. It has a fully stocked kitchenette, a dinette set, a small living area, a washer/dryer, a full bath and a partial bath (we had a deluxe unit).
The rooms are super clean and the staff is always friendly when checking in etc. There are a few restaurants, a hookah lounge, a liquor store, and an ABC store right on the property so you can just run out and grab something if you need to.
They have an hourly shuttle that takes you back and forth to the strip or it's about a $6 cab ride from the MGM Grand. If you're walkers like we are the walk to the strip is about 10-15 minutes long. There is also a bus stop near the property if you feel comfortable enough to ride the bus (we are experts at the Vegas bus system)...
The Bad:
My in-laws have the MAXIMUM upgrade available and they STILL get pressured to come to "owner reviews"...They will keep calling your room every day trying to get you to come to those meetings no matter how many times you tell them no. SOMETIMES YOU JUST WANT TO BE ON VACATION AND NOT ATTEND A SALES PITCH MEETING. Once we got it through David's (guest services) head that we were NOT going to attend one of those meetings he was no longer so friendly and nice...
