The Linq has a lot going for it. The Linq is located on the Strip in between Harrah's and the Flamingo.
When I first came to Las Vegas it was call the Imperial Palace with 650 rooms. This place has changed a lot over the years. Before it was the Imperial Palace it was the Flamingo Capri, in 1979 it became the Imperial Palace. In 2012 I think it was it changed to the Quad only for two years though. In 2014 it became the Linq. During the 80's it really expanded, they built more towers and now has 2,600 rooms. In 2002 it was the second largest privately own hotel in the world.
It used to have a really great car collection but I think it closed. Not sure. It also years ago had a weird Nazi collection called the "war room" there were parties there a lot. The war room caused a little bit of a controversy. Nazi=bad.
Years ago too I had Elvis Presley as my dealer at a Blackjack table. See Elvis isn't dead. They had a lot of celebrity look a like dealers back then. My recent trip in November 2017, I didn't see any so I guess they don't have that anymore. I liked that a lot to bad they stopped it.
I know at one point I think when Caesars took it over there was talk of tearing it down but they didn't. I glad about that. They did a $230 million renovation instead right before it became the Linq. It turned out great. The hotel and casino are beautiful and the Linq Promenade is loaded with restaurants and shops and a big Ferris wheel, fountains and it quite colorful.
This is also a place where the staff seems to enjoy their workplace. Everyone looks like they are having fun. Employees are nice.
While I am an MLife member and generally stay at MGM properties. The Linq is looking better and better as a place to stay on the strip in Las Vegas. We are going for New Year 2018 and I will definitely look into the Linq for this trip.
