  • It's useless from what I can tell. Put your money in the bank instead. Wife and I decided to purchased this with some of the seller concessions we had in the close on our new home, almost exclusively because it 'covered' appliances--as the ones that came with our home were fairly nice and I wouldn't want to have to pay to replace them. What do you know, three months in to living there, the glass on the oven door (and the metal face plate covering it) decides to spontaneously shatter while routinely cooking. How strange! No sweat, I'll pay my modest deductible and call in a warranty claim! You know, cause we were so wise to have spent to money to get one, right? Wrong. Apparently, glass is not a covered portion of the appliance. You know, the fundamentally important piece of glass that makes an oven usable. I tried bringing this point up, and was only informed that it is "clearly" in the terms and conditions. I guess by "clearly" she meant buried in fine print at the end of the warranty PDF. After that I remark that "I suppose our conversation is done" and am met with a simple "Okay." *click* Customer support at its finest! No suggestions of where to try next, no double checking, just sorry sucker, thanks for $500 a year, enjoy your non-functioning stove--not our problem! This prompted me to read further, and it seems just about anything you'd actually end up filing a claim for, won't be covered. I urge you to read all 6 pages of fine print before buying, I'm sure you'll be sorely disappointed if you don't (as I now am).
