  • I went to Grouchy Johns on a blind date. The date was a little awkward, but the coffee and the shop were on point. It is a small little place, but it is booming and able to compete with the Starbucks machine. Drinks - The coffee is always fresh and strong. I am a boring person and like my coffee black, but I have been pleased with their iced and hot versions. They have a large selection of frappes, but I have never ordered one. They look delicious though. Ambiance - It is more of hang out then just a coffee shop. They have board games, books, and newspapers. You could spend a day in there! The staff is friendly and quick (as long as the line isn't too long). The outdoor patio is nice. It is shaded, so on the hot days, you won't be frying like an egg.
