  • Kickstand, we like you a lot. You're a rare breed. Tons of tvs... even little personalized ones at every booth. Your food is great, your service is spectacular (tall dude with beard and glasses... he's freaking awesome). LOCATION Plaza Midwood-ish. If you're on Hawthorne, turn left onto Central.. It's next to a Mexican Restaurant. They share a parking lot in the back. There is a TON of parking. AMBIANCE Relaxed, laid back... all the things you want on a lazy weekend. Not a frat-bro sports bar (thank GOD). SWEAT PANTS APPROPRIATE. FOOD We had the wings (Spicy Tiger and Barbalo) and the tater tots. The wings were great - they were thinly breaded and super crispy. The sauces were both great but by the end, we preferred the spicy tiger. I think the vinegar in the Barbalo got to both of us. The wings come with a good helping of celery and ranch-- which is always a plus in my mind. Tater tots...... the side order gets you an entire plateful. This is the first time that we didn't finish the entire plate. The tots are crispy and stayed crispy for the whole hour we were there. AMAZING. The CO2 machine is broken right now.....btw...... it would've been nice if we were told that before we ordered a diet coke.. But seriously though, the beer specials are great. When we went, 16 oz. domestics were $2.50.. that's pretty great. Mondays are Charlotte beer nights with $2.50 drafts. Pretty awesome. We will be back!
