I've been living in the states for the past couple years so Aritzia really hasn't been on my radar. Moving back last year everyone told me that the moment you walk into the store you are swarmed by people and they don't leave you alone because they want their name tied to your sale. I said ok I'll go check it out I'm curious by this swarming affect.
I've walked into their store numerous times now and people never approach me or ask if I need help. The last time I went in, I saw something in the window I wanted to try on, I couldn't find a sales person to help me it was ridiculous. I was able to locate the items and grabbed a bunch of other items to try on with it. I walked around the store numerous times and no one offered to put my things in a changeroom.
Finally I went up to the changerooms and there were 2 girls gossiping at the desk to the entrance of the rooms, I didn't know if they worked there so I wasn't going to ask them to put me in a room, I waited patiently then saw one of them holding keys so I asked her if she could. All of a sudden she was the friendliest person you've ever met. This immediately turned me off, she continued to ask me 10times while i was trying things on if I was doing ok, finally I told her to leave me alone.
In short, besides the fact that Aritzia is a big knockoff store (just shop some of the trendier sites and you'll see everything that aritzia has knocked off for crazy margins) they have no idea how to be gracious and have decent customer service.
I have heard the horror stories of things not washing well once you've bought them, or seeing your exact shirt from the designer brand they knocked it off from, at a better quality and price and cooler brand... but to me their horror story is the customer service.
