Classical orchestra symphony isn't big here in AZ. I bought a small weekend subscription for the 2017-2018 season which was about 7 shows.
I was really impressed with the talent of the musicians and the acoustics in the Hall. I buy the cheapest seats on the orchestra level for about $19 per show, I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house. I like to attend some popular concerts as well as more technical pieces like Mahler. I was very impressed with the players execution of the piece.
I look forward to the next season as they reveal more of the upcoming program.
One word of caution, check if Comic-Con or something else at the convention center is going on before you drive down there. Parking may end up being more expensive than your ticket or hard to find. On those days, I recommend the Light Rail.
