  • Now that I've attended Life is Beautiful 2 years in a row I feel I can give a proper review. 2014 was the first year I attended since I was out of town for a wedding the year before. Overall the lineup was phenomenal but I feel like a lot of the sets overlapped so I felt like I was running from one stage to another a lot. I love the fact that there was music of every single genre there. From Phantogram to The Roots to Skrillex there was something for everyone there. Kanye opened the festival strong and Foo Fighters closed it out properly. 2015 was my second year. The organizers probably realized how much last years lineup overlapped because I feel like this year had a smaller lineup. I actually appreciated this because my group and I weren't running from one stage to another. It was also a much more chill vibe. This years line up kicked ass. Once again there was something for everyone. I love love LOVE that they had Lindsey Stirling because she's incredibly talented and it was such a privilege to see her perform. Bucket list item crossed off! In today's world there is so much negativity and hate that a lot of people forget to just be happy. The artwork around the festival had some reminder of love and the beauty of life. You couldn't help but smile when you saw this. Let's not forget about the food! The food last year was delicious and this year was even better. I don't know if I missed it last year but this year there was a create-your-own ice cream sandwich truck by the main stage. This was definitely my favorite sweet treat this year. I have plenty of friends that are vegetarians, vegan, or have other dietary restrictions and to have an abundance of options for them was great. There were a few negatives this year: The organizers moved the festival up by a month. While I love that I didn't have to wait an entire year it was so incredibly hot out. I'll go next year regardless but I hope they have it in October next year when the weather is nicer. Maybe it's just me, but I don't feel like there were enough stations to refill water bottles. Considering how dry it is in Vegas a couple more of these stations would make a huge difference. Also, I'd buy VIP if they provided better value for what you get. Little things such as capping how much you sell, having a VIP section at all 4 stages instead of just 2, and having the stages at a direct view of the stage would make a huge difference. From what I heard from fellow attendees there wasn't a lot of value for what you paid. I was approached by a scalper to buy a VIP wristband for $150. If I'd paid for VIP and this guy approached me I'd be insulted.
