| - This post office is garbage!!! I live in the extreme SouthWest (Mountain's Edge) and we do not have an official USPS mail carrier, they are contracted out. Shows how much USPS is trying to save.
Anytime we have a package that needs a signature the delivery driver NEVER knocks on the door. We always get the pinkish colored slip that we then have to take to this office. One time I went, waited in line (usually 10-15 people every time I've gone) gave the lady my slip she searched and searched for about 10 minutes and couldn't find the package. She took my info down and said someone would call me back. Well guess what? No one called back. After about 5 days I went back, I stood in the other line for sending out mail, when I was called up the lady told me I was in the wrong line. I said, "I've done that before and you guys couldn't find my package and then never called me back. I'm not waiting in any line this time" I told her I wanted to speak with a manager. She paged the manager... THREE FREAKING TIMES!!! Before he finally showed up about 8 minutes later. I told him what happened and he looked, couldn't find it and said he'd have to contact the driver to find out where it was placed. I said "that's what you guys were supposed to do a week ago and here I am again without my package" so he went back and looked some more. Finally came back, he found it this time. And to top it off no apology or anything.
Now last week I had two packages I was waiting to be delivered, which the tracking showed they were delivered consecutive days. I checked my mailbox each day since I was pretty exited about getting some stuff in the mail. What do you know... No packages either days! Then I try to contact USPS to get these issues resolved. Well you can't call this office directly, the line IS ALWAYS BUSY!!! Tried online to file a claim (using my iPhone I go through to the last page and it isn't compatible with Safari so I can't submit it). Then I do it online at home. I also send out some Tweets hoping I can get a response... They reply asking for the info, I send it and they just tell me what the tracking online says, wow big help there. Now they don't even respond anymore on Twitter. I contact the companies, found out one had my address off by one number which is my next door neighbors. I go talk to them about it and they check, nothing in their mail. I also leave a note for the mail delivery guy in my mailbox saying that it was addressed wrong and if it's still in another mailbox to please correct it. He obviously didn't care because he just put my mail on top of the note. Now I tried to call the 800-275-8777 and get the automated messaging system which says it's an hour wait and that if I put my phone number in they will call me back when it's my turn. Well now it's been 2.5hrs and I haven't received a call back.
This is why I hate USPS and hope they fail completely and the sooner the better. Oh and one package was sent with FEDEX but I guess now they started having USPS deliver it to the mailboxes #EpicFail
