  • this place is amazing! Red Bloom downtown was recommended to me by a friend. I have been disappointed in the past by other hair salons so I know not to have high expectations. I walked in with hair longer than my shoulders, fried, highlights were all faded out, roots were all grown out...basically my hair was a disaster. I am also having a serious case of the winter blues so i thought getting a whole new cut and color would do me some good. Annah was my stylist and she was amazing. She took 10 min to consult with me what I wanted. I am not a visual person but she painted the vision so well that she got me really excited for my new look. She was excited as well and having a stylist that is confident and shares in your excitement is great. Then she quoted me the price for cut and color BEFORE she started any work. I'm glad she did that because there is nothing worse than getting a surprise bill at the end of the cut. She quoted me $175 for cut and partial highlights with $10 off as it was my first time there. She even gave my friend a referral credit. I was super happy with my highlights because Annah kept in mind that I don't want to re-touch my highlights every 8 weeks. (time and money) So she mixed the color and put the toner in to suit my needs. She said that my color will stay in for awhile and that the roots won't be noticeable when they grow out. She even put the foils in such a way where my highlights won't make me look like a skunk (thick chunky highlights). I was extremely happy that she did this because she is putting my needs first rather than trying to force me to come in every 8 weeks to color my hair. As my highlights were setting, she came over and gave me a nice 10 minute hand massage with a very nice hand cream. When it came to the cut, she was very precise and she took the time to cut and texturize. The total time for my cut and color was 3 hours but worth EVERY penny. I hate it when stylists rush. I went from having long hair to short hair and I haven't been this happy in AGES! My bf was quite upset when i told him i was cutting my hair short and was trying to do everything he can to convince me not to cut my long hair but once he saw my new hair cut, he was stunned. He said it looks fabulous and sexy. He never saw me with short hair so he was quite nervous but now that he has seen what it looks like, he loves short hair. Thank you Annah for the great transformation. Can't wait to see you again!
