| - My review may be a little biased mostly because I live about 3 miles away from here. This hotel to me is like an all inclusive resort since it has a little of everything. Basically I use this hotel for late night gambling or to place some sports bets, or to grab a milkshake or chili mac supreme at the Steak n Shake (an awesome east coast chain that recently opened here). I suck at bowling but when there are no holidays, their bowling alley has midnight $1 bowling as well as $1 well drinks and beers. This is very cheap and convenient for all the locals or tourists that stay off the strip, possibly because of conventions or fairs that take place here. I find the bowling and movie theater great for underage teens as it gives them something to do instead of causing trouble out on the streets or good to pass time while their parents and older siblings get wasted or gamble.
Also, if there is a new movie out, I sometimes catch an early matinée or late night impulse to watch a new movie in their clean theater. They do have this XD 3D knockoff of IMAX in their movie theater but I've not taken advantage of that yet.
If I've had a late night at the clubs or wake up early in the morning, my main reason on stopping by here is their Coronado Cafe's mightnight menu of $3.95 steak and egg dinner. This is a 7oz NY strip, 2 eggs cooked the way you like it, an order of hash browns and toast. You cannot beat this deal anywhere in town (Orleans Casino has this too but only Mon-Fri and I do not like the quality of their steak).
I've had their garden buffet one time for lunch and it only cost $7.95 with their rewards card. It's not the best buffet in the world but you get good value still with your money.
I've heard from friends that the rooms are spacious and I do know that they advertise on road side outdoor billboards that their rooms start at $49 and do not tack on any resort fees.
I do off hand that the world series of beer pong, Pro Bull Riding and some exhibition games have been featured at this venue. This past year, the Halloween event, Fetish and Fantasy Ball was hosted here and some of my friends who attended said the event was awesome. The only event I attended in their arena near the convention area as a division III basketball event. I found the venue to be clean, ushers were polite and friendly and best of all, the concessions were very price friendly.
