  • Quality of Care issue: My hand therapy by ATI was located on St. Rose Parkway in Henderson. First, the staff is wonderful! The customer service excellent! It's the certified hand therapist (CHT) per patient ratio that is my concern and a company issue, not therapist. When I went, there was only one CHT and one aide per up to 8 patients. The ratio should be 1:1 for each visit and for more than a hand massage. The hand therapy staff was so busy they were unable to closely monitor the modalities given to the patients to make sure the Patients were (1) doing the therapy and (2) doing the therapy properly. While my therapy was limited due to a pre-existing condition, I still observed the company' approach to hand therapy. Because it was so poor, I cancelled all my appointments. In Michigan:As a healthcare professional/RN who was part of a team that opened an orthopedic/hand surgery/acute rehab/skilled rehab hospital, I am aware of what quality hand therapy looks like. The physician group also owned a well renowned sports therapy rehabilitation center. I also spent years designing quality improvement programs for rehab therapy. Lastly, I received hand therapy for 9 months after a major wrist surgery and the Certified therapy aides spent time, 30 minutes, with each patient while doing modalities and then I spent 30 minutes, 1:1 with my CHT. This was how each patient received care and should receive care.
