| - Amazing experience! Sort of like a hybrid between an escape room and an adventure room (a bit less emphasis on puzzly puzzles and a bit more emphasis on physical exploration). I enjoy both "genres" but the physical exploration aspect of this room definitely got the adrenaline pumping, especially in the last couple minutes.
The pre-game experience was really smooth, with Game Master Megan telling us everything we needed to know in terms of rules and how to use each lock (much appreciated, nothing worse than being stuck in a room because of some usability issue).
The flow of the puzzles was perfection. I'll say that the puzzles are fairly easy, which is actually a good thing! I don't think it's the type of room where I'd want to be mentally exhausted because there's such a large physical component. They start you off with a pretty easy puzzle to get you going, and from there, you're really flowing through everything (really realistic fire-rescue based puzzles) until an amazing moment where the experience totally changes and I'll just say you're in for a treat. There was one "puzzle" (more of a physical thing) in the second half of the game that cost us a bit of time due to being a bit finicky, but really not a big deal at the end of the day.
They recommend 4-8 people, I think 8 would be ridiculously cramped. We were 4 and we were tripping all over each other. Not that it's a small space, though, it's actually quite large. I'd recommend about 4-6 being ideal.
It does come to $32, which is more expensive than average, but worth it for the experience.
Can't recommend this place enough! Check it out! I have not played Wild West, but it is supposedly a more beginner-style room, which I imagine means a lower density of puzzles.
