  • We really enjoy staying at Westins and we stay at this chain whenever possible. The rooms at this Westin are very well updated and comfortable. I absolutely love the bathroom and the bed is very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is in a great location in downtown Calgary. The hotel is clean and there is a Keg restaurant located right in the hotel, which is very nice. We have stayed in a lot of hotels so we are very aware of the price of parking and room service but this hotel is very expensive for both. We ordered room service for breakfast one morning and it was nearly $65 for two meals. They also added a "delivery charge" onto the room service, which I thought was ridiculous because the food prices are already crazy and it's a ROOM SERVICE menu so there really isn't any other option but delivery. We also ordered a pay-per-view movie and it was $17.99! I brought my computer with me so when we saw the price we were just going to download a movie on iTunes but they also charge for WiFi ($13.20 for a day) so it would have been the same price. I have never been to hotel where there wasn't free WiFi. The remote for TV had pause, rewind and all those buttons so we assumed you could use them during the movie. Apparently thats not the case because when we paused the movie it took us to the main screen but kept playing without us knowing so we missed about 10 minutes of the movie. The parking is also ridiculously expensive at $19/day for self parking. It is underground parking but still a little much. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but the prices for anything extra are ridiculous and should be changed.
