| - I finally got sick and tired of the same routine at the YMCA. I was getting up in the morning, doing cardio, weights, etc... and not finding the sense of community that helps motivate a person to keep coming back.
After two glowing endorsements of FTF from friends of mine in the DC area who are also heavily involved in the instruction and participation of Krav Maga - the light bulb finally went off and I walked in the door.
The instructors and staff are not only masters of these crafts, but also know you by name and are willing to push you to excellence without being pushy. I've taken different types of Martial Arts before, but I have to say that at my age, training on things that are practical and that will prepare me to stay fit is the best type of feeling and I walk away better than when I walked in.
The facility itself is very smart in terms of its use of space. It is easy to walk in, attend your class, and walk out. No need for massive locker rooms and sparkles. It is clean, and everything in there has a purpose. It is a shared community.
You get out what you put in, and so far I am getting fit, educated, and having fun while sweating! Who can ask for anything else!!
