My family and I went to Serendipity 3 a few years ago and weren't impressed. We went at about 11:00 am and were told that lunch wasn't served until 1:00, which we all found to be a little bit odd. We did decide to stay, though, just so we could try their famed "frozen hot chocolate." We also ordered drinks, as our visit happened to be during the summer and it was extremely hot out. The service was terrible; it took almost an hour for our drinks to be delivered and almost forty-five more minutes for our frozen hot chocolate to arrive. The real kicker was that it wasn't even crowded- there were at least thirty tables open and all of the waitstaff were just standing around talking. As for the frozen hot chocolate, we deemed it sub-par and overpriced. You can get frozen hot chocolate from Dunkin' Donuts that is just as good as or better than Serendipity's for a much more affordable price. Sure, I understand that you're also paying for the atmosphere, but based upon the service and the quality of the food, I don't think my family will be returning to Serendipity 3 any time soon. Overall, this place is overpriced and overhyped. My advice is to skip it!
