I do not recommend Homeowners Financial. I was looking at purchasing a Fulton home after already getting prequalified with an amazing lender elsewhere. If you go through one of the two preferred lenders, you get an incentive of $6000. I chose Carisa W. because she was closer than the other lender.
The experience couldn't have been more impersonal! I told Carisa the first time we spoke that I wanted to meet in person. She would not let me come in to the office to complete the loan app. She insisted I give them my email and complete the app through the link. Once I completed the app, her assistant Molly emails me requesting I send confidential documents through email. Molly does not take phone calls and always has her phone set so it goes straight to voicemail. Again, I made it very clear I wanted to meet in person and I would never send my paystubs, bank statements and W2 over email with all the hackers today.
After calling the office 3 times and finally yelling the third time they had Carisa call me. She gave me one day out of the week she was available at a community 45min away from where I live and she was not available at 1:30pm because she was meeting with an "older couple" at 1pm to complete a loan app. Hmmm....definitely discrimination on her end since she would not allow me, "a younger person" to complete my app in person. I chose Carisa because her office was close to me, but this woman strongly prefers not dealing with people in person. Thanks to Carisa, I now have another hard pull on my credit report and I will not be following through with the purchase of a Fulton home due to her ignorance. Oh yeah, and she couldn't even get my name right!
