| - Let me start by saying that I have never really been one for the arts. In fact, there probably isn't one artistic bone in my body. But a friend convinced me to give paint nite a try. I loved it so much that we went to another one a few weeks later, and plan on attending more in the future.
Very impressed with the large selection of paintings, with various difficulties and several locations to choose from. You sign up on their website, and get to choose what painting you want and what location. (FYI there seems to always be a groupon available for this paint nite).
On the night of your event, you show up to the location and sign in. All supplies are provided for you (canvas, brushes, paint, etc), and of course they give you the option to purchase food and beverages from the restaurant.
Both instructors I had were great, one better than the other in my opinion, but both great nonetheless. They go through the step by step process to painting the masterpiece and take the time to walk around the room to help those who want or require a little extra assistance. I think the best part is that no two paintings turn out alike. Even the instructors paintings don't always look exactly like the one on display. Everyone can put their own twist on the paintings as well. If you don't want a blue flower, you go right ahead and make that flower red! At the end of the night, the instructors even give out a promo code to encourage you to come back and paint with them again, usually something like $20 off your next paint nite.
My one and only complaint is that I find they like to overcrowd the venues. I get that they are trying to get as many participants as possible, but when you're bumping elbows with the person next to you, or accidentally getting paint on the side of their canvas, it's a bit much.
Overall it was a great experience, and I absolutely cannot wait to attend more paint nights!
