  • My gf and I had been interested in adopting a kitten. She found a foster lady on Instagram and began corresponding with her. Today was the day we were supposed to pick up our new kitten. I say supposed to because it did not happen. Everything was going fine, the nails were being clipped. They asked about our current cat, which was adopted from Craig's list. The cat had been declawed before. After that one of the ladies disappears, then they come back and take the kitten for an "evaluation". The foster mom disappeared, they come back saying the cat is unavailable because of ringworm, then they refuse to allow us to adopt a different animal. Now the foster parent, whom we found on Instagram, has blocked us both and deleted all messages. Unprofessional. We could have gotten a kitten anywhere, there is a million on Craigslist. We wanted to rescue one. It's a shame that's how it ended up after a month of preparing for a new addition. Bummer spca
