  • This was the email I sent to the owner. I never received a reply!!! They charge high-end prices for such terrible customer service and results at a ghetto location in a dingy salon. Don't come here. If you can afford to come here, take your money and go to a higher-end place. They aren't trying to build relationships with clients, just take your money and have you walk out like a clone. "To the owner of the salon; Jay I want to start from the beginning because it's been a sequence of disappointments from my first, only, but hopefully not my last visit to Glamour salon. I first called to schedule an appointment with Mayra a month out. I waited anxiously for the day because this was my first time in over 2 years having my hair done besides my friend retouching (in my natural color) my roots to cover grey hairs. The receptionist quoted me $195-$245, which I mentioned a all over color when scheduling the appointment. When I get there, Mayra tells me $250. After coming back to discuss my unhappy results and asked why my greys weren't covered, they told me that the color would be extra. Do you understand that I assumed all over color was included in the $250 that Mayra told me because I mentioned to the receptionist in the first initial quote that I wanted an all over color to cover my greys? (Along with mentioning to Mayra at least 5 times in the chair that I wanted my greys covered) So I asked the receptionist what I already paid for if the color wasn't included. The receptionist broke it down for me and mentioned "Opalex" charge for $45. Which I don't mind paying, the fact is that Mayra quoted me a price without even breaking it down for me to what I was paying extra for because I didn't even know what Opalex was and the receptionist told me like I was suppose to know but didn't. Obviously it's clear Mayra did a terrible consultation with me because first, we didn't even DO a consultation for the haircut. She started cutting away without even taking into consideration what I wanted and before I knew it she was thinning my hair out with thinning shears. I never want my hair thinned out! I have naturally curly hair and it never looks nice when I where it curly if it's thinned out!! Again, this was the first time in a long time I've had my hair cut so in the midst of explaining the color I forgot to talk about a cut but it isn't my job to remember because she's the stylist and she should have consulted with me first before ASSUMING what I wanted. How can she just start cutting my hair without any idea of what the guest wants? I feel like she treated me like a clone client instead of an individual, which I'm sure is NOT the reputation you want for your salon. 2nd the picture I showed Mayra looks NOTHING like my results. She didn't listen to what I explained I wanted if you remember, she didn't even color over my grey hair. I am more than willing to come in and have you see again what I wanted and what my hair looks like. It's a black and white difference. Now I can be very understanding that people make mistakes because after all I myself work in the customer service industry. But it's how Mayra handled the situation that truly left a horrible taste in my mouth... When I came back to discuss my concerns with the results, she immediately became defensive and blamed me for everything. Her tone of voice and facial expressions towards me were very offensive and that is why I didn't want to return to have her "fix" my hair. I made up my mind to schedule an appointment with you instead, even if it meant paying, but when the receptionist told me I had to wait until August 13 and that I'd have to pay a $50 deposit upfront, I changed my mind because at this point I've already spent $250 plus tip for absolutely NOTHING IN RETURN of what I originally wanted. So I then decided I would go somewhere else to have them fix my hair, however recently blow drying my hair for the first time after having it done I realized that a CHUNK of my hair was over processes and broken off on the bottom back of my head... This is the last draw for me because my hair being over processed and damaged to the point of breaking off and Mayra not even having the dignity to let me know, is leaving me feeling so ripped off and she's basically stolen my money for nothing in return, not even the haircut! Now I have to pay another hundreds of dollars to have it fixed. I feel inclined to reach out to you once more in hopes you'll understand my predicament and hopefully have it resolved for me the right way where everyone is happy and you'll have a return customer who can refer people to your salon rather than the latter."
