  • Went to Durant's for dinner last night. I have always liked Durant's, Arizona's oldest watering holes, Durant's. Chop House. Central Phoenix, its where you go for a steak. Well needles to say they were off last night. I had the 12 oz prim rib, and to be honest I had prim rib at My Mothers Restaurant on 19th Ave last week and it was much better.. I don't want to slam Durant's but come on, for the price I paid for my meal there is no excuse. When I received my salad the mixed greens looked soft, wilted a little. I looked over at Mike who was eating salad also and asked him, hey is your salad wilted, at first he said no then a moment later he said it is..I said that's because its pre made and sat, it was only 630.. On our way out the door we went thru the kitchen and to the right were all the pre made salads, go figure. The service was amazing, and I love the atmosphere at Durant's. But the food was off way off and for the price you pay the food should be impeccable and my salad should not be slightly wilted. It's steak, potato and salad. Come on Durant's gets with it.
