Sweet Olenka's is a tiny Ice cream shop in Kensington that serves both vegan ice cream (made with coconut milk) and dairy ice cream as well several drool worthy ice cream bars. They have other desserts (brownies, muffins etc.) at the front if ice cream is not your thing (if such a person even exists). Everything is handmade and it definitely makes a difference! If the ice cream has strawberries or ginger you actually bite into hand cut strawberry or ginger chunks.
The dairy options they had were: Chocolate, Maple Walnut, Chocolate, Caramel, strawberry & rhubarb and chocolate chip cookie dough.
Vegan options: Matcha coconut, green tea, chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut and a couple more
I got their Wasabi and Ginger Ice cream (Probably their most out there flavour). The ice cream was rich & creamy with huge chunks of sweet ginger that perfectly complimented the spicy tang of the wasabi. I also sampled their chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream which was exceptionally decadent and filled with chunks of dough even in the little sample I got. Also, I have to say the girl working there was so friendly and helpful!! When I asked to sample one of the flavours, she gave me huge spoonfuls of everything so I could get the full effect. Needless to say, I was in ice cream heaven and probably indulged more than 2 scoops equivalents of ice cream just from all those samples. Sweet Olenka's gets an A+ for customer service alone.Their Vegan ice creams are just as creamy and flavourful as their dairy ones, I had a really hard time deciding between the two (and I'm not even Vegan). Definitely recommend this place! Will be revisiting again soon!
