Awesome bar tenders and pretentious waiters, make this a case of duality. The decor is what you would expect of a modern French brasserie. But beer is not a focus here, the up sale is the wine and cocktails. Don't expect a warm welcome unless you look like you walked out of a fashion magazine.
Shea, the bar tender, is awesome and makes this place more than bearable. And this man can make a drink.
We had the Croque Monsieur (turned Madame) and the Frenchie Burger. The service needs help. The side salad was plain and bland. The focaccia is sour and comes with only a little butter. They won't let you have salt and pepper at the table, weird and annoying. It's not Bouchon.
However, if you see a grand slightly rotund bar tender with short brown hair, hang out at the bar. He will entertain while briskly making miraculous nectar of heaven drinks. His name Shea.
Stick to the bar, if Shea is there, and head for Bouchon for food.
